Kindred Spirit
Outreach & Development
Reach out,
We reach back.
From our inception, we’ve vowed to be more than a community behavioral clinic. In 2023, we achieved 501(c)(3) status, leading to the creation of Kindred Spirit Outreach and Development (KSOD).
Through our non-profit, we aim to ensure everyone has access to the resources needed for a healthy life by reducing barriers to care and creating a supportive environment for our network.

Programs and Initiatives
We’re proud to provide therapy and counseling to individuals, couples, and families in Northeast Ohio.
Kindred Transportation
One of the main barriers to care our community faces is the lack of reliable transportation to obtain the resources needed for mental health treatment. In an effort to assist those in need of accessible rides, we created a program to streamline and organize transportation requests for our clients.
Preventative Programming
In 2025, Kindred Spirit obtained certification to provide prevention programming to our clients. We now offer Substance Use, Violence, and Suicide Prevention Programming as well as our other counseling services. These programs help anticipate and effectively prevent specific types of harmful behavior.
Dominant Gene Carrier
Dominant Gene Carrier is a community initiative that celebrates racial identity and perseverance. Through events and merchandise, we highlight the power of our genealogy, choosing to use it as a form of affirmation rather than oppression. All proceeds for this initiative go towards training Black mental health care practitioners.
