We’re proud to provide therapy and counseling to individuals, couples, and families in Northeast Ohio.

Individual Therapy and Counseling:

We provide talk therapy (both in person and virtually) with licensed mental health clinicians. Our practitioners foster safe, supportive, and confidential environments for clients. We guide individuals through their healing journey by providing coping skills and encouragement as they navigate life's ups and downs.

School based Counseling:

Kindred Spirit understands the famous African proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child." We collaborate with local K-12 schools to identify and treat mental and behavioral problems. Early intervention helps improve academic and social success.

Psychological Evaluations:

Our psychologists are trained to administer evaluations that help determine the cause of mental health disorders. These evaluations provide diagnoses and establish recommendations for the best way to treat the patient's unique needs. Types of evaluations include: Adult and child autism testing, Child and Adult ADHD testing, court evaluations, psychological evaluations, eating disorder evaluations, and diagnostic clarification.

Case Management Community Support Services:

Kindred Spirit's case managers work directly with the local community to connect individuals with the resources they need for a healthy life. Case managers serve as patient advocates, helping clients manage their health journey while providing structure and support.

Mental Health Assessments:

To begin the first stage of the treatment process, our practitioners use mental health assessments to take a comprehensive look at our patients' well-being. These assessments are designed to help diagnose mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, eating disorders, traumatic stress disorders, etc. .

Performance Coaching:

Kindred Spirit collaborates with LAVA Athletics to support student athletes from primary school to college. We support their academic development and community involvement to help create well-rounded individuals.

Couples and Family Therapy:

In addition to individual talk therapy, we offer in-person and virtual counseling for couples and families. We help strengthen interpersonal relationships by improving communication and identifying and addressing conflicts.

Psychiatry

Our nurse practitioner can diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe the right medications to improve patient well-being. We apply our cultural approach to prescribing and recommending medications, using holistic care to manage side effects and other symptoms.

Kindred Spirit Behavioral Health is an Ohio-based mental health practice specializing in diverse, culturally informed care. We offer in-person and virtual counseling for adults, adolescents, and children.

At Kindred Spirit, we're changing mental health care. We understand the barriers our community faces, including racism, prejudice, and financial limitations. Traditional therapy too often overlooks the impact these challenges have on mental health. Our programs aim to fill those gaps.

But we're more than therapy.

Our practitioners are members of the communities they serve; we know firsthand the problems our clients face. We work hands-on with courts, schools, and other local organizations to assist our people at all levels. Through our nonprofit, we support the community from within.

Behavioral Health: We are accredited by The Joint Commission and certified by the Ohio Department of Health. We are committed to providing the highest standard of mental health care through therapy, counseling, and case management.

Kindred Spirit Outreach and Development: Our non-profit ensures everyone has access to the resources they need for a healthy life. We work directly with those in need to provide support and assistance.

Kindred Optimal Coaching: We use a revolutionary approach to mental health treatment through Optimal Conception Theory. Our founder and CEO offers training to other practitioners who want to learn culturally sensitive techniques.

We help people in need of mental health assessments and support in legal situations.
